Secondary Lymphoedema is most commonly seen where the lymphatic system has been damaged / compromised by cancer treatment including surgery and radiotherapy and metastatic disease.
Secondary Lymphoedema may also occur in other conditions such as:
- Venous disease – post DVT, vein surgery or aging
- Trauma and tissue damage
- Cellulitis
- Immobility
- Obesity
